We all need protection in life. Pastor Jim uses the story of Nehemiah rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem to show us that spiritual fences matter just as much as physical ones. In Nehemiah 4, we see how God’s people worked together, stayed vigilant, and kept their armor on while facing constant opposition and threats. The same applies to us today.

We wear the full armor of God from Ephesians 6, but we also need to guard what we allow into our lives and who we surround ourselves with. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us to guard our hearts, and 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns that bad company corrupts good character. Build fences around your heart, stay connected to your church family, and remember that God is always with you in the battle.
