In the same way that wearing a wedding ring doesn't make you married but represents your commitment to your spouse, baptism in itself doesn't save you but it represents your commitment to Jesus and the spiritual change He brings. Baptism at Sonrise reflects what the Bible teaches us: it's part of becoming a disciple of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20), and it symbolizes new life with Jesus (Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:4).
