About Life After Loss
Join us April 11, 2026 from 8:15am to 3:00pm
Few things we face in this broken world are more difficult than the loss of a loved one. There is no checklist or instruction manual for how to grieve such a loss. Life After Loss is designed to help those in the darkness of loss see the brightest light of God’s love. He gives us the hope and resources we need to face what He leads us through.
Connect with others who are enduring similar struggles and learn together how to navigate the grieving journey biblically.

Meet Our Speaker - Donna Nunes
The year my husband died, several other young mothers, as well as some more seasoned ladies at my church, became widows. I felt we all needed each other. After much prayer and confirmation, I decided to begin a home fellowship for widows called "Widows Helping Widows"—a place for widows to gather and be encouraged. I wanted to remind them that God still loves them and that He still has good plans and a purpose for their lives (Jer. 29:11).
We met every week for prayer, sharing, and fellowship, and we supported each other at all our kids' activities and events. God knew just what we needed. "Widows Helping Widows" has been active for over 28 years and still meets occasionally to stay in touch. I later became a grief facilitator for New Hope Grief Support.
My passion is to bring hope to grieving people—to provide a safe place where they feel acceptance, love, and compassion. It is a place to receive tools, both practical and spiritual, to help them navigate through the grief process, where they are able to open up and begin to receive hope and healing.
